Memento
The calendar for your life’s highlights, not your meetings
Memento is an iOS app for the moments that actually matter. It's intended to hold everything you're looking forward to and back to... on one timeline. Trips, gigs, birthdays, and the countdowns and reflections for each. It's fully private, and no account is needed - your memories stay on your device, for you and your eyes only. Free on iPhone.
The idea hit me after yet another moment of not being able to remember when my next upcoming concert was. I guess it was mid-August, but I was not sure. See… this happens to me a lot. I have a bad memory. Or undiagnosed ADHD. Not sure. Dig, dig, dig through my calendar… It turned out the concert was the previous month.
I came to the resolution to not let this happen again. Ever. And I had a hunch on how to solve the problem. I remembered that I loved using an old-school wall calendar where 3 months were visible at a glance. Every “highlight” in those months was handwritten and stood out in the grid of days and weeks. Passing by it, I could glance and see what’s ahead and cross off events that happened. So, easy, right… Just buy another calendar like that and nail it to my wall? But I felt like I needed more (feature creep was starting to creep in early). I wanted to be able to see the entire year and even parts of the next year (not only 3 months). I also wanted to practice mindfulness and gratitude and to reflect on and savor the events that passed.
After a bit of brainstorming (it was a big storm), the idea came almost fully baked. It was not ready yet, but it was tangible enough to give me energy to pursue it. And when ideas come to me like this, they usually always come in a visual form. I saw the design in my mind's eye.
Then, life happened. I forgot about the idea for about 1 year. But it came knocking again. My itch (or need) was not scratched yet. And it came back conveniently, when I was looking for a challenge. I wanted to start building, powered by AI, and ship my first iOS app. The idea gently but surely pushed all others I had and possessed me again, all up to this day when I am writing this, with the app now live on the App Store.
Hope you enjoy it and that it brings value and utility to your life.

Who hunted Memento?
Memento was hunted by Filip Mishevski. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
