I built MatchTheJob because I was a broke college student trying to apply to jobs.
Tailoring my resume to every job description manually was exhausting. The tools that could help were charging $49/month, which made no sense. If I could afford that, I probably wouldn’t be job hunting in the first place.
Worse, a lot of them felt like thin AI wrappers with inflated promises.
