Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I’m the developer behind Stria. As a fresh graduate, my goal was to build a high-performance, collaborative Markdown editor in the browser that feels as powerful as Obsidian but works for teams in real-time.
Why I built this:
I believe that high-quality, structured Markdown is the foundation for the next generation of AI tools. Before I move into the RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) phase of this project, I need to ensure the editor core and collaborative synchronization are perfect.
What’s inside right now:
- Real-Time Collaboration: Powered by Yjs and Hocuspocus for seamless multi-user editing.
- Structured Linking: Obsidian-style wiki-links to create a connected knowledge base.
- Interactive Graph: A visual map of your notes that is ready to scale.
Bring Your Own Backend: The frontend is open, and I’ve documented the API specs in /docs/api.md so you can connect your own persistence layer.
The Roadmap:
Once the editor feels "production-ready" based on your feedback, I’ll be implementing a full AI RAG system to turn these structured notes into a searchable, intelligent brain.
I’d love your feedback on:
- Would you use something like this?
- Whats missing?
- Is browser-based Markdown useful or unnecessary?
Looking forward to your critiques
