Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Prathamesh, and I built MarathiVivah with my wife Rutuja after going through the frustrating experience of searching for a life partner across existing matrimony platforms — outdated designs, laggy sites, steep subscription fees, and in some cases even brokerage demands after a successful match.
So we built the platform we wished existed: modern, fast, and — for now — completely free. No brokerage, no commission, no hidden charges.
A few things we focused on:
Privacy by default — contact details and photos stay hidden until both sides show interest
OTP-verified members — every profile is a verified phone number, not a bot or fake listing
Built for the Marathi community specifically — caste, location, and community filters that generic platforms don't get right
Admin-reviewed profiles — every profile and photo is manually checked before it goes live, to keep the platform trustworthy

Adding a video introduction feature where users can record a short 30-second clip would really help people get a better sense of who's behind the profile, way more than photos alone can show.
