Most AI writing tools do one thing. Makebook handles three kinds of books in one workspace: nonfiction ebooks, novels and coloring books. What stands out: • See a full chapter-by-chapter outline before you even sign up • Novels stay consistent with a story bible, a living world and characters • Coloring pages with clean vector line art, exported to PDF • You keep control: quick edits, version history, word count • Credit packs that never expire, no subscription required
Hey Product Hunt 👋
It started with a simple observation. Around me, more and more people were trying to make money selling books online: ebooks, KDP coloring books, even novels. And every single one of them had the same setup: one tool to write, another to design, another to format, ChatGPT open in a tab, and a lot of copy-pasting in between. Most of them gave up before finishing their first book.
So I started building a simple ebook generator for the French market. Then the first users started asking: “Can it do coloring books?” “Can it write my novel without forgetting my characters by chapter 5?” That second one was the hardest problem to solve. AI loves to forget who your characters are. That’s how the story bible and the world-building features were born.
A few things I really cared about:
• You see your full book outline before creating an account. No signup wall just to try.
• You stay the author. Rewrite any passage, go back to any version.
• Credits that never expire. If you write one book a year, you shouldn’t pay every month.
I’d love your honest feedback, especially if you’ve ever tried to write or publish a book. What’s the part of the process you hate the most? 🙏
