Mairim - Family Planner
Know exactly when to leave for your kids' activities
Most calendars tell you when an activity starts. Mairim tells you when to leave. It works out the drive time from traffic, adds your safety margin and counts down to your departure. Each parent's phone alerts only the trips that are theirs (drop-off or pick-up), and one shared calendar shows the whole family, color-coded by parent. Android, in English, Italian, French and Spanish, currently available in Europe. Free, with optional Premium and Family plans.
Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I'm the solo developer behind Mairim.
I built it for a simple reason: I didn't want to be late taking my kid to activities, and I never knew how much traffic I'd run into on the way.
Mairim puts all my kid's activities in one app, works out the drive time from traffic, and tells me exactly when to leave, so I arrive on time, or early. With two parents, each phone only alerts whoever is driving or picking up.
One thing that went wrong while testing: an address the app didn't recognize, so the traffic calculation couldn't even start. That's why Mairim now checks every address when you save an activity, and asks you to confirm if it can't find it.
For now it's Android only, on Google Play in Europe (English, Italian, French and Spanish). It's free, with an optional Premium and a Family plan.
I'd love your feedback: what would make this useful for your family? Thank you! 🙏
