I started building Lematev after experiencing the problem myself while working with AI agents. As I used them more, I realized how quickly costs could add up, and how difficult it was to understand which agents and tasks were actually driving the bill.
I wanted to build something that went beyond monitoring costs. Lematev evolved into a layer that helps teams choose the right models, prevent unnecessary spending, and understand the real cost of getting a task done successfully.
