Hello Product Hunt! I am Larry Smith, founder of Pattern Realms and creator of the Knowledge Cosmos. Today I am pleased to announce Knowledge Composer, a complete production studio for macOS, available now at patternrealms.com. Before creating Knowledge Composer, I spent over four decades developing Smalltalk, Eclipse-based tooling, visual programming environments, and enterprise engineering systems. Knowledge Composer brings the best of these ideas together: modularity, visual UI customization, and seamless end-to-end solution flow. At the heart of the studio is the Element Castle Model. Knowledge Composer captures thought chains as spatial maps of elements, allowing prompts, lore, and logic journeys to be reused. Elements are presented across paintable, animated maps. This pattern language structures your thinking visually so solutions flow naturally from Quests to Concepts to Publications. Each element has purpose-built properties so an element can store both a prompt (verse) and response (article). Elements are organized in realms, realms in worlds, and worlds in universes. This creates a multi-dimensional canvas of knowledge composition. Serial documents are created using Element-Oriented Substitution™. Publication markdown text is composed dynamically by substituting the properties of any element in the universe. For writing papers, analysis, and AI-assisted workflows -- and not to mention political discourse -- this architecture provides backtrace provenance for every assertion made. Substitution is a new super-power. Substitution allows prompts and outputs can be reused across maps. This provides a complete file-based context memory, dramatically reducing token costs. Prove once, reference many. Elements and maps also show rich interactive media: images, web views, 3D models, and Lottie and Rive animations. Integrated scripting makes elements reactive, while the GenUI Quiz System adds interactive forms and tabulations. For example you can create an element with prompt text and web view. Then interact with web view to use the prompt to generate an image at a web site. The resulting image can then be pasted right into the element and displayed on the tile. Or you can show a generated MP4 movie tile right alongside the web site view used to create it. Create storyboards to show media flow. Since the verse can be composed using substitution, prompts can be built by combining modular character, location, and lore descriptions. All stored as totally locally. Every element and design layer is saved directly on your Mac as human-readable Markdown files. The files are the API: edit your folders in Antigravity or VS Code, interactively or with an AI agent, and the Knowledge Composer realm map instantly shows the updates. Sharing is effortless: copy a folder to copy a world. Use the built-in discovery to share with other foundries in the LAN. Share maps using the Realm Portal view. Share snapshots using the built-in sandboxed web server. Or export and share a megaverse file. Knowledge Composer is a new platform for organizing, publishing, and sharing knowledge, stories, and games. Build, write, think, prove, engage. Knowledge Composer is available today for macOS with an introductory $19.99 lifetime license (buy once, keep forever). Welcome to the Knowledge Cosmos! Play Fair, Build True.
