Kairos Vault is the first zero-knowledge, decentralized time capsule that cryptographically seals your files until a future date. Unlike traditional cloud storage or scheduled emails, Kairos Vault uses the Drand network to mathematically guarantee that no one can access your data a second before the timer expires. It replaces human trust with pure cryptography.
Hi everyone! 👋
I'm excited (and a bit nervous!) to share Kairos Vault with you today.
To be completely transparent: this is an experimental project and it's currently in its Alpha stage. I built Kairos Vault as a Proof of Concept to explore how we can use cryptography (specifically Drand time-locks, Reed-Solomon, and Shamir's Secret Sharing) to build a decentralized digital time capsule.
Since it's an early Alpha, you might encounter bugs, UI glitches, or unexpected issues. Please do not upload mission-critical files or real private keys just yet!
My main goal for launching today is to learn from this amazing community. I would absolutely love to hear your feedback, thoughts on the architecture, and of course, bug reports. There is a feedback form directly in the app, or you can drop a comment here.
Thank you so much in advance to anyone who takes the time to try it out! I'll be here all day to answer your questions. 🙏

Who hunted Kairos Vault?
Kairos Vault was hunted by Francesco Mancuso. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
