Job searching is difficult as it is. And it's hard to find a good organization tool that doesn't put your data in the cloud, doesn't want a monthly subscription, or that's messy to use with information scattered across spreadsheets and other tools. I thought there has to be a better way. I work at a staffing agency and kept noticing the same patterns: people resubmitting resumes they already sent, forgetting they'd spoken to one of our recruiters, sending applications that had nothing to do with the posting. I started researching tools for a blog post about organizing a job search. That blog post never got written, but I couldn't stop thinking about how little was out there. I'd been messing around with Claude Code at the time and thought, what if I just built it myself? Two months later, here it is. JobSearchHQ is a personal CRM for your job search. Applications, contacts, documents, scheduling, AI resume scoring, 200+ prompts for cover letters, interview prep, all of it. Everything stays in one file on your computer. No account, no cloud. One payment, it's yours. Built the whole thing solo: product planning, UI/UX design, app architecture, marketing, launch. Tools I used along the way: Claude and Claude Code, Gemini AI/Google API, GitHub, ElevenLabs, Wondershare Filmora, WordPress/Avada, 21st Dev, Gumroad, and a lot of Diet Dr Pepper. There's a free trial and a live demo on the site if you want to poke around. Would love to hear what you think.
