The interesting part: Gemini's watermark uses standard Porter-Duff alpha compositing,
which means it's fully reversible. The formula is:
original = (blended - watermark × alpha) / (1 - alpha)
No AI, no inpainting — just math. The result is pixel-perfect every time.
The hardest part of building this was actually CORS — Gemini images live on
googleusercontent.com and block cross-origin canvas reads. The fix was opening
the image in a background tab and injecting a script via chrome.scripting.executeScript
to extract pixels from the same origin.
