I'm the maker behind Spin the Crocodile — a growing collection of free, no-signup learning games for kids and classrooms. Today I'm launching our **Chess for Kids** module.
**Why another chess site?**
Most "kid chess" tools either lock the good parts behind a $9–15/month subscription, push accounts on 7-year-olds, or surround the board with ads and upsells. Teachers kept asking for something they could just open on a Chromebook in 5 seconds. So I built it.

**What it is *not***
It's not trying to replace a serious adult chess platform. There's no rating ladder, no puzzle rush, no streamers. It's the version I wanted for a 2nd-grade classroom: open the tab, play a game, close the tab.
