GymGrid
A workout tracker that doesn’t interrupt your training
Most workout trackers felt too heavy for actual gym sessions. Too many taps. Too much friction. Too many features while lifting. So I built GymGrid — a workout tracker designed to keep your training flow uninterrupted. • fast workout logging • instantly check previous weights/reps • minimal UI optimized for gym use • calorie estimation based on ACSM, MET, and EPOC No subscriptions. No ads. No extra paywalls.
Hey everyone 👋
I originally started going to the gym because I had been spending too much time building WebTerm and became seriously inactive.
Once I started training regularly, I looked for a workout tracker — but most apps felt too complex or distracting during actual workouts.
I didn’t want to navigate heavy UIs between sets.
I just wanted to:
- quickly log sets
- instantly check previous weights/reps
- stay focused on training
So I built GymGrid.
The entire app is designed around minimizing friction during workouts:
- fast logging
- simple UI
- previous records always visible
- calorie estimation based on ACSM, MET, and EPOC models
I intentionally kept it:
- no subscription
- no ads
- no extra paywalls
Would love to hear your feedback — especially from fellow builders trying to stay healthy while spending way too much time coding 💻🏋️
