GanttPilot
Describe your project, get a professional Gantt plan!
GanttPilot is an AI project planner that turns plain words into a professional schedule. Describe what you're building — the tasks, the deadline — and the AI lays out the whole Gantt timeline in seconds, dependencies and resources included. Anyone can create a solid, professional plan in minutes, with no need to learn Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 (though it works alongside them when you do). No spreadsheets, no setup — just describe your project and go.
Hi Product Hunt 👋
I kept seeing people describe a project in one sentence and get back a Gantt chart that looked right but fell apart the moment anything moved — dates hardcoded, no real dependencies, nothing recalculating.
GanttPilot is my attempt to fix that. Describe your project in plain language (or drop in an Excel / MS Project file) and get an editable Gantt schedule in seconds. Underneath runs a real CPM engine: it checks dependencies, deadlines and resource load, and shows you exactly what changes before you approve a revision. Drag a task, or ask "what if this slips 3 weeks," and the plan re-solves — it doesn't just redraw.
Would love your feedback. What breaks your current planning tool?
A natural language planner sounds great, especially for folks intimidated by MS Project. One feature that would make it even more useful for me: let me paste in a rough list of tasks from a doc or email and have the AI figure out dependencies automatically, instead of me having to type a full paragraph. That alone would save a ton of setup time on real projects.
Honestly was pretty cool typing out a rough project idea and seeing the whole gantt with dependencies pop up right away, like the AI actually understood the sequencing instead of just dumping tasks. Definitely beats starting from a blank spreadsheet.
It would be super helpful to have a quick way to import an existing project from a CSV or Excel file, so the AI can restructure it instead of starting from scratch every time. A lot of teams already have task lists sitting in spreadsheets and manually retyping everything kind of defeats the "describe and go" promise.
Tried it on a small launch with about twelve tasks and it handled dependencies and resource assignments better than I expected for a tool this quick. Honestly surprised it didn't need any setup.
