Hi Product Hunt 👋
I'm Sebastijan, a father of two from Slovenia. I built FridgeDoor because the same argument was on repeat in our kitchen every week: who did what, and who definitely did not.
The paper chart on our fridge lasted eleven days. The problem was never tracking — it was that nothing was in it for the kids, and that I was the only one who ever looked at it.
So FridgeDoor works like this: you price the chores (Make Bed 5 points, clean the bathroom 20), kids claim them and tick them off, and points buy things you agreed on — screen time, ice cream, Friday pizza. Family goals pool everyone's points toward one reward, which is what finally got my six-year-old and my teenager on the same side.
Some deliberate decisions:
No accounts. No email, no password, nothing for a child to sign up with. A family joins with a code.
A PIN, not a login. Tapping the parent profile asks for four digits and reverts on its own. Kids switching between themselves needs nothing.
Free forever for the core app, no ads, no data sold. A paid tier later adds things most families won't need — longer photo history, two households, allowance payout.
It runs in the browser, so it works on the old tablet in the kitchen. Native apps are in review.
What is not there yet: recurring chores need more flexibility than they have, there is no web dashboard for parents, and custom emoji are missing. English, Slovenian, German, Spanish, French and Italian are in.
If you have kids, I would genuinely like to know where your chore system broke down — that is the list I build from. Happy to answer anything all day.

Who hunted FridgeDoor?
FridgeDoor was hunted by Sebastijan Kolenko.
