Hi Product Hunt,
I built Frappe Inspector after repeatedly seeing the same gap when working with Frappe projects:
The IDE understands Python, JavaScript and JSON, but not necessarily the framework-specific relationships between them.
A Frappe DocType may connect a JSON schema, Python controller, client script, tests, hooks, patches, fixtures and permissions. When one piece changes, the resulting problems are often discovered only during migration or runtime.
Frappe Inspector adds a framework-aware layer inside JetBrains IDEs.
It includes:
- Frappe project and app detection
- A DocType and field explorer
- Related-file navigation
- Basic DocType and field completion
- Unknown-reference diagnostics
- Hooks and patches validation
- Schema comparison
- Migration-risk analysis
- Removed-field usage detection
- Relationship and permission exploration
There is a free Community feature set, with optional Pro features for deeper project-wide analysis.
This is an early release, and real-world feedback matters more to me right now than polished praise.
I welcome criticism, feature ideas, false-positive reports and compatibility feedback.
The confirmed critical bug reported with reproducible steps will receive one month of Pro access.

Finally a way to trace field references without opening ten tabs in the browser. Hooks and risky schema checks right inside the IDE feels like the kind of tool I wish I had months ago.
