Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built Folivy because plant identification apps usually answer one question and the experience ends there: “What plant is this?” I wanted each identification to become part of something personal. With Folivy, you can identify a plant from a photo, save it to your herbarium, remember where you found it, and gradually build your own map of nature. I’m especially interested in feedback on the discovery map and collection experience. Which feature would make you return to the app: identification, the map, or the herbarium? Thanks for checking it out 🌿

Finally an app that makes plant ID feel like a little nature journal. Honestly the map feature is what got me, basically turning a regular walk into a treasure hunt for stuff other people have spotted nearby.

Snapped a photo of a weird succulent in my backyard and it actually nailed the ID, down to the cultivar. The map view showing other people's nearby finds is a really nice touch for slow weekend exploring.

The geotagging feature on saved finds is such a thoughtful touch, makes the herbarium feel like a real journey rather than just a list.

Snapped a mystery plant in my backyard and it nailed the ID, then mapping the spot to my herbarium felt surprisingly satisfying. The community observations nearby are a nice touch for finding new trails to explore.
