FocusFlow locks TikTok, Instagram and anything else you pick. To unlock them, finish a task: add your own or pull assignments straight from Canvas, snap a photo of the work, and earn minutes back. When they run out, the apps lock again.
Hey Product Hunt, I'm Spencer, a finance student at Ohio State.
I was losing about five hours a day to my phone. I tried every blocker and every Screen Time limit, and I turned off every one of them. They all have an off switch, and when I really wanted to scroll, I used it.
So I built the one I couldn't turn off. In FocusFlow your apps start locked. The only way in is finishing something:
- Pick the apps that eat your time. They stay locked.
- Add what you need to do, or connect Canvas and your assignments come in on their own.
- Finish a task and snap a photo of the work. You get minutes back.
- When the minutes run out, the apps lock again.
It runs on Apple's Screen Time system, so the data about which apps you use stays on your phone. I never see it.
I built it alone between classes, and a lot of it changed because friends used it and told me what was broken. I'd love the same from you: what would make you actually keep it on?
