I’m Dr. Erman Türkili — a violinist, educator, and founder of House of Arts and Sciences in Istanbul.
For years, I worked with very young children and special education students, and I kept noticing the same thing:
Many children lose motivation in music education before they even experience the joy of making music.
Traditional notation can feel overwhelming at the beginning — especially for early childhood learners.
That’s why I created First Steps of a Little Artist.
It began as a teaching method and book series, and eventually evolved into a mobile app designed to help children experience music through colors, symbols, creativity, and play.
The goal was simple:
🎵 Let children make music immediately
🎨 Reduce fear and complexity
🧩 Support different learning styles
🌍 Make music education more accessible for every child
The app is especially designed for:
