I built Exact CV after going through multiple job applications and spending too much time fixing CV formatting instead of actually focusing on the applications. It started as something I built for personal use, and once I saw how much easier it made things, I knew other people could use the same tool.
The core product is a free browser-based CV builder. No account, no server storage, no paywalls. You pick a template, set up your sections, fill in your content and adjust the final layout with live formatting controls.
I also recently shipped the Application Tracker inside Playground. It lets you log and track applications across jobs, scholarships, fellowships, visas and more, update statuses, manage deadlines and export your tracker as a PDF or image. Still browser-based, still completely free.
