Hi everyone — Alvaro here, co-founder of ECOS 👋
This started long before ECOS existed.
23 years ago, I left Spain with a simple dream —
to play soccer and study in the U.S. on a scholarship.
23 years later, that dream feels small compared to the life that unfolded.
Along the way, I found my better half, became a U.S. citizen, traveled the world, built a career, and was blessed with three beautiful daughters.
And yet, for all that life gave me… there was always something quietly missing.
I spent 23 years away from home.
From my parents. From my roots. From where I come from.
During that time, life kept moving.
My mom survived cancer, went through years of dialysis, and a kidney transplant.
My dad had a stroke.
Today, they’re both in their 80s.
And then it hit me.
How many more moments do we really have left together?
How many chances will my daughters have to truly know them —
to understand where they come from… and where I come from?
Because over time, we don’t just lose people.
We lose their stories. Their voice. Their way of being.
That’s why we built ECOS.
A voice-first AI that turns simple, natural conversations into a living presence your family can come back to — not just to remember someone, but to experience them.
