I'm Mahmut, the solo developer behind DWG OfficeZip.
The idea came from the site: drawings arrive on the job as DWG files, but the computer stays at the office. Most mobile viewers either need an account and an internet connection, or upload your files to a server first. I wanted something that just opens the drawing on the phone, offline, and lets you measure it.
What it does today:
• Opens DWG and DXF (R13 up to 2018 and later) and DGN V7 / V8, with layers, blocks, attributes, layouts and external references
• Measures length, area, angle, radius and coordinates with endpoint and midpoint snapping
• Puts the drawing on a live map at its real coordinates (UTM, ITRF96, ED50) so GPS shows where you stand inside the drawing
• Opens PDF, Word, Excel and PowerPoint too, and turns any selected region into a new PDF
• Works like desktop CAD with a keyboard and mouse on tablets, DeX, Chromebook and iPad, with a command line that understands familiar CAD commands
• 15 interface languages
Files are read on the device and never uploaded; the app has no server and no accounts of its own. Viewing and measuring are free; subscriptions add 2D/3D drawing, editing and saving as DWG, DXF or DGN.
It's live on Google Play now. On iPhone and iPad you can try it today through the public TestFlight beta (https://testflight.apple.com/joi... the App Store release is in review.
