Hi Product Hunt! I'm Andrei, and I built DocVault on my own.
I used to keep my ID and car papers in an app that stored them on its servers, behind a login with no two-factor. I wanted a place for them that I could trust, and that would remind me before anything expired.
So DocVault has no server at all. Everything stays on your devices and in your own iCloud, and the phone schedules its own reminders. No account, no analytics.
What it does:
• Keeps passports, IDs, car papers, insurance and warranties in one place, with scans and PDFs attached
• Follows each renewal: the old term stays as history, reminders stop once you're covered, and gaps between terms get flagged (say, January 30 to February 4)
• Reminds you on a timeline you set once, with extra alerts where needed: passports get 8 and 6 months' notice
• Ready-made templates for car, home, family, health and pets, or document types of your own
• Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, Siri, and iCloud sync across iPhone, iPad and Mac
