Hey Product Hunt community! 👋
I'm Gautam, maker of DevAuthKit.
Almost every developer has a "graveyard" of side projects on GitHub. A year ago, I started building DevAuthKit to solve my own frustration: why does setting up simple email OTP, JWT tokens, and session handling in Express require 100+ lines of repetitive boilerplate, or paying $25+/month for heavy third-party SaaS auth?
But like many projects, life got busy, and it sat untouched for an entire year.
Yesterday, I decided to open the repository again. I completely overhauled the engine—added cryptographic security, dual JWT/Session authentication, brute-force shields, and built a companion Client SDK that makes frontend auth 3 lines of code.
I pushed v1.1.0 to npm and shared a quick post on X. The response from fellow builders made me realize how many developers just want a clean, self-hosted, vendor-free auth toolkit they can control.
Today, I'm excited to bring it to Product Hunt!
