Describe a circuit in plain English and your AI agent (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI) builds it live: it places parts, wires the breadboard, writes the Arduino sketch and runs a simulation check. It's also an MCP server, so Claude or Cursor can design boards and export Gerbers. Free, open source, works offline.
Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Nesara, a software engineer who also tinkers with hardware.
I built designElectronics because every small electronics project I started meant hours of fiddling in breadboard tools before I could even test an idea. I wanted to just say "ESP32 with a DHT22 and an OLED showing temperature" and get a wired breadboard plus working Arduino code.
So it's an open-source, Fritzing-style designer (built on SDL3) that AI agents can drive directly, through the CLI or as an MCP server, all the way to Gerber export.
• Runs on desktop, phone and in the browser
• No account, works offline
• A whole design is one shareable file

What would you build with it first? I'd love feedback on parts you want added.

Who hunted designElectronics?
designElectronics was hunted by RoRReT. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
