DataScope
Explore Japanese and global statistics with clear sources
DataScope is a Japanese-language web app for exploring public statistics from Japan and around the world. View trends, charts and data tables with source links, definitions and notes. Browse basic data without signing up; a free account unlocks longer series and supported country comparisons. PRO adds supported analysis and exports in PNG, PDF, Excel and CSV. For researchers, writers and anyone preparing reports. PRO: JPY 980/month, tax included.
Hi Product Hunt! I’m the maker of DataScope.
DataScope brings Japanese and international public statistics into charts and tables, with sources, definitions and notes alongside the numbers. It is designed for exploring questions and preparing reports, proposals and articles.
You can browse basic data without an account. A free account adds full available time series and country comparisons on supported pages. PRO adds supported analysis, saved views and exports such as PNG, PDF, Excel and CSV for JPY 980/month, including tax, billed monthly.
The interface is currently in Japanese. Coverage and export formats vary by dataset and page. Missing values remain missing, and source definitions matter when comparing countries. Updates are published after verification; this is not a real-time data feed.
If you work with Japanese public data, I’d appreciate feedback on finding the right dataset, understanding the charts and using the exports. What would make your research workflow easier?

Who hunted DataScope?
DataScope was hunted by Hiroshi Ogawa. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
