I’m Kobe. I study behavioral neuroscience, and I tend to learn by trying to build the thing I wish I had. One of my projects started because I wanted to label behavioral data on my phone or tablet instead of being stuck at a desktop. Data Desk is where I’m starting to collect smaller tools: combining CSV exports without losing track of the source files, turning repeated-measure columns into rows, and converting video frames to seconds. You can try examples or use your own files. These tools run in your browser, without uploading the data. I used AI to help build this. The point is having a useful next step ready when you need it. This is an early version, and I’d rather hear what gets in your way than pretend I already know what everyone needs. What’s the task you keep doing by hand?

Who hunted Data Desk?

Data Desk was hunted by kobe. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
