I’m the maker of CreatorZip.
The inspiration behind building this was simple: frustration. As someone who constantly shares video clips on Discord and social media, I was fed up with existing online compressors. They either forced me to upload my private videos to their remote servers (taking forever on slow Wi-Fi and raising huge privacy concerns) or locked basic features behind monthly subscriptions with watermarks and annoying ads.
I asked myself: "Why can't we have the convenience of an online tool, but the speed and privacy of a local desktop app like Handbrake?"
That’s how CreatorZip was born. By running FFmpeg locally inside the web browser via WebAssembly (WASM), we achieved:
1. 100% Privacy: Videos never leave your machine. You can literally turn off your Wi-Fi and still compress.
2. Zero Uploads: Fast processing powered entirely by your local CPU/GPU.
3. Zero Bitrate Math: Custom presets like "Discord 10MB/50MB" to keep exports clean and fast.
During our open launch phase, CreatorZip is completely free, with no watermarks, no registration, and no ads.

Love the local processing approach. One thing that would make this perfect for my workflow is a batch mode where I can queue up several clips at once and have them compress one after another without manually reloading each file.
would love to see a trim/cut option added so i can clip the start and end of a clip before exporting. compressing is great but i usually still need to cut a few seconds off for discord, and right now i have to hop to another tool for that
