We built the Colorado AI Act Readiness Toolkit because many organisations are now facing the same problem we have seen in the EU AI Act space: the law creates documentation, governance, risk management, notice, and accountability obligations, but most teams do not yet have practical artefacts to work from.
Colorado SB 24-205 is especially important because it brings EU-style AI governance into the US state law environment. It affects developers and deployers of high-risk AI systems used in consequential decisions such as employment, housing, finance, insurance, education, healthcare, legal services, and essential government benefits.
The toolkit is designed to help HR, legal, compliance, privacy, and AI governance teams start preparing before the 30 June 2026 deadline.
