Hi Product Hunt! I’m Byunghun, the solo developer of CodeNote Ink.
I built an iPad app that connects Apple Pencil handwriting with an actual Python environment.
You can write mathematical notation by hand, recognize it, inspect the corresponding Python/SymPy code, and run calculations or create plots. Python notes support ordinary code, with NumPy, SciPy, SymPy, Matplotlib, and NetworkX included.
The feature I’d especially like people to try is reusing handwritten definitions across notes. Define f(x) in a Math note, then import that note as a Python module and call its function from another experiment. This connects the formula on your canvas with loops, data analysis, and numerical computation.
AI is used only for on-device handwriting recognition. Mathematical parsing and code generation are rule-based, while Python and SymPy perform the computations. You can review and edit the recognized input before running it.
Core recognition and computation work offline, without an account. Recognition can make mistakes, and mathematical notation support is still expanding.
The App Store version is $4.99 USD as a one-time purchase, with no subscriptions or in-app purchases. Regional pricing varies.
