Whisper Island brings voice transcription to every app on your Mac.You speak, the text is pasted into the active app: Slack, Notion, your IDE, your browser, your mail. Anywhere, without leaving the window you're in. The overlay lives in your MacBook notch, or as a floating pill. Always there, never in the way. Multi-language, powered by OpenAI's Whisper. One login with your Coddo account, one quota, two apps. Built for people who write a lot every day. The keyboard becomes optional.
We built Whisper Island after realizing that voice transcription only inside our own app was leaving most of the value on the table. People write messages, docs, emails, code comments, task briefs all day, across dozens of apps. There was no good reason to make them switch tools just to dictate.
Whisper Island lives in your MacBook notch (or as a floating pill). You speak, the text gets pasted into whatever app you're already in: Slack, Notion, your IDE, your browser, your mail client. The overlay disappears between uses, so it's never in your way.
A few details we cared about: • Push-to-talk and toggle modes, pick what fits your style • Multi-language, with a default you set in settings • Same account and quota as Coddo, one login, two apps
A few questions for you: • What's the first app you'd dictate into every day? • Notch lover or floating pill, what should be the default?
