Most AI security tools work at the model layer - prompt filtering, jailbreak detection, content classification. They check what the agent says. Clampd works at the runtime layer. It checks what the agent actually does - every tool call, before it executes. What makes it different: Self-hosted, Rust, runs on your infra (not a SaaS API) Behavioral kill switch fires under 25ms on attack patterns A2A delegation chain governance with Ed25519 scope tokens Multilingual PII detection.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Mehul. I built Clampd after watching the same story play out over and over: an AI agent gets broad access, makes a destructive call, no one catches it until production is gone. PocketOS this past weekend was the latest one - Cursor + Claude Opus 4.6 deleted their entire production database and backups in 9 seconds. Replit/SaaStr before that. Antigravity. Kiro. Same pattern every time: agent has legitimate credentials, calls a legitimate tool, runs a destructive command. Nothing in the stack is watching what the call actually does. I'm an identity and authentication engineer by background - years on Rules engine & Keycloak. Identity tells you who the agent is. It doesn't tell you what the agent is about to do. So I built Clampd: a runtime firewall that sits between your agent (Cursor, Claude Code, MCP servers, A2A chains, x402 payment agents) and the tools it calls. Every call gets inspected before it runs. Destructive ones get blocked. Behavioral anomalies trigger a kill switch under 25ms. Rust, self-hosted, deploys via Docker. A few things I'd love from PH today: - If you're running agents in production, I want to hear what scares you about it - Honest feedback on [email protected] - War stories - if you've had your own "agent did something stupid" moment, share it. I collect these. Solo founder, Tallinn, building this alongside a day job. Happy to AMA throughout the day. - Mehul

Who hunted clampd?

clampd was hunted by Mehul Soni. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
