Bit of an accidental launch, this one.
I was genuinely looking for a vehicle. Needed something cheap. Kept noticing the best deals were Cat N , slightly damaged, easy fixes, way under market value. A cracked bumper here, a scratch there. Fix it in a weekend, save thousands.
But actually finding them was a nightmare. Same search terms on eBay. Then Gumtree. Then AutoTrader. Then Facebook Marketplace. Four tabs open, typing the same thing over and over. Missing listings because I forgot to check one.
So I built a scraper that checked all four. Then I thought someone else probably has this problem. So I put it on a domain.
Now it scrapes every 5 hours. 2,200+ Cat N vehicles live right now. Filter by make, model, year, postcode. No signup. No paywall.
Stack: Django + PostgreSQL + Playwright, on Railway. UK-only for now.
Not sure if this is a real product or just a tool that got out of hand. If you're into cars or flipping vehicles, tell me what would make you use this daily.
