Hi Product Hunt, maker here. Branchway started because Finder never grew with how much we keep on our Macs: thousands of photos, PDFs, notes and downloads we half-remember. I wanted a file manager where I could type what I remember (“the invoice from the Lisbon trip”, “photo of the kids on the beach”) and get it, with the preview right there. On top of that search it has the things power users ask for: tabs, dual panes, a disk map, Large Files and Clean Up, themes. It is a one-person studio in the Himalayas, so every bit of feedback here shapes the next release. Happy to answer anything.
