Boatpass
Find your next day on the water with local providers
Boatpass helps you find your next day on the water: boat trips, rentals and waterside experiences from local providers. Guided questions and regional search help you narrow the options and reach provider websites. Built to give smaller businesses more visibility. Free to explore. Currently available in German.
Hi Product Hunt — I'm Lucas, the solo founder of MIMJA in northern Germany.
A great local boat trip shouldn't disappear behind a bad website. That's why I'm building Boatpass.
Small businesses and offers outside major cities deserve to be easier to find. Boatpass helps you go from ‘I'd like to do something on the water’ to options you can explore.
The Captain guides you through a few questions, or you can search by activity and region. Explore boat trips, rentals and waterside experiences, read the available details and sources, then continue to the provider's website. Availability and booking are handled by the provider.
What's next: we're preparing a wider European rollout. Dorfpass, our sister project for local businesses, services and events, is also in development. Both are future steps; this launch showcases the current Boatpass experience in Germany.
I'd love practical feedback: do the Captain's questions help you narrow the options, and what information is still missing before you'd contact a provider?
If you work in local tourism or small-business visibility, I'd also be glad to compare notes. Thanks for taking a look!

Who hunted Boatpass?
Boatpass was hunted by Lucas Schmidt. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
