Every Claude Code and Codex thread gets a pet that acts out its work and shows when it needs you. One click opens the thread. Threads pass notes and work as a team, and you see every one. Free, native, and nothing leaves your Mac.
Hi Product Hunt, I'm Nick. I use Claude Code all day, and I kept losing track of what was happening where. A thread would sit idle waiting for my approval and I wouldn't notice, and the whole job slowed down. So I built Bloblings to show everything at a glance.
Every Claude Code session, in the Claude app or the terminal, gets a small pet in a drawer at the edge of the screen. It types while the thread edits, hammers while tests run, holds up an "OK?" sign when it needs your approval and raises its hand when it has a question. One click takes you to that thread, or its terminal window. Finished ones head to the cinema, the hot tub or the beach. Ignored ones slowly turn into skeletons.
Then it grew. Claude Code sessions can already message each other, but a message line isn't a team. In Bloblings your threads pass short notes, and you see every one on their cards. Link a few into a team with a shared goal and a role each, or start one from a template; a leader can call a Huddle for a five-line report from everyone. And Codex is on the team, not just a tool Claude calls: Claude app, terminal and Codex threads pass notes both ways. Google's Antigravity connects too.
How it works: a small hook writes a status line to a local file each time a session uses a tool (a few milliseconds). The app reads those and Claude's own local session files. No network, no account, no analytics. It never approves anything and never sends anything for you. It does put three things into threads: notes between your threads (passed on automatically by default, or set them to wait for your click), helper limits you choose, and, with "Save usage" on, a short hint to use the cheapest model that fits. It adds its hook beside yours, backs up your settings first, and has a clean uninstall. There's also a Claude Code plugin: github.com/nickpittcinema/bloblings-mod
Native Swift, about 4 MB, notarised, free. Mac only for now. Not affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI or Google.
The pets are the fun part. What keeps me using it is the chores I don't do any more: pasting context between threads, hunting for the one that needs me, writing handovers by hand. I'd love feedback, especially from people running a lot of sessions.
I got stuck on the onboarding (multiple Lemonade stand demos launched and failed) on my macbook, also it seems like it required Fable to run the demo?

Who hunted Bloblings?
Bloblings was hunted by Nick Pitt. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
