BeforeWord
Your voice notes, turned into LinkedIn posts people read
Speak a rough thought for a few minutes. BeforeWord listens, asks the one question that makes it better, and turns it into LinkedIn posts built on 1,787 patterns from posts that actually worked. It learns your voice over time. 7 days free.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I run engineering at a company. Like most people who run things, I have opinions all day — in pipeline reviews, in hiring calls, in hallways. And like most of those people, I posted none of it. Writing a good LinkedIn post takes an hour I never have. So the ideas died in my notes app.
BeforeWord is my fix. You talk into it — messy, half-finished, like a voice note to a friend. It gives you back several finished posts that sound like you.
Three things make it different from pasting into ChatGPT:
1. It's built on receipts, not vibes. We studied thousands of LinkedIn posts that genuinely performed and boiled them into 1,787 repeatable patterns. Every draft rides one.
2. It actually listens. While it writes, it shows you the best sentence you said and asks ONE question — usually "what actually happened?" — because the answer is always the best part of the post. It catches customer names and deal sizes before LinkedIn sees them, too.
3. It remembers you. Every draft you accept, fix, or delete teaches it what you believe and how you sound. Month three sounds more like you than day one. You can see (and correct) everything it's learned.
There's also a daily news briefing tuned to your industry, with angles you can react to by voice.
7 days free, no card. I'll be here all day — tell me what's broken, what's missing, and what you'd never pay for. That feedback literally becomes the product; half of what shipped this month came from users yelling at me.
Have you found that users care more about sounding authentic or maximizing engagement?
I could see those leading to very different product directions.
the one-question approach is honestly clever, but it would be great if you could also flag which posts are predicted to underperform before I actually publish them, maybe with a quick confidence score based on the pattern match
honestly the concept is really cool, the pattern library angle especially. one thing i'd love is a way to save draft snippets or hooks in a swipe file so i can revisit them later, basically my own little library of openings that worked.
Dumped a rambling voice memo about a side project and the draft it pulled out actually sounded like me, which I wasn't expecting. The single follow-up question felt less pushy than most writing tools.
The voice learning part sounds really cool, but I'd love to see a way to save drafts or notes from the listening sessions themselves. Sometimes the best insights come mid-thought, and losing that raw material before it gets polished into a post feels like a missed chance.
