Barside puts a note-taking app, a to-do list, a read-later inbox, a screen recorder, video meetings, a password vault and an AI assistant into one free desktop app for Windows, Mac and Linux. Your library is saved on your computer and notes work without an account. The AI uses the account you connect (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or OpenRouter), and every change it makes can be reviewed and undone. It also works with Claude Code, Cursor and Codex through MCP.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Sam, the maker of Barside. I was paying for a notes app, a to-do app, a read-later app, a screen recorder, a meeting tool and a password manager, and copying things between them all day. Barside puts them in one desktop app that keeps your library on your computer. The AI features use your own AI account (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or OpenRouter), so Barside adds no markup, and every change the assistant makes can be reviewed and undone. It also works with Claude Code, Cursor and Codex through MCP. It is free on Windows, Mac and Linux. I'd love to hear what you would cut or add.
