ATA - AI Tournament Assistant
AI Tournament Assistant - Swiss system tournaments.
ATA is a native mobile app designed for tournament organizers. It automates complex Swiss pairings, handles live tracking, delegates referees, and generates instant PDF reports. Say goodbye to manual spreadsheets and chaotic admin tables.
Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I’m the creator of ATA (AI Tournament Assistant).
After organizing mind and strategy game tournaments for years, I realized how chaotic the admin table gets. Manually calculating Swiss system tie-breaks, dealing with players crowding around paper brackets, and trying to chase down referees for match results took all the fun out of the event.
I couldn't find a mobile-first solution, so I decided to build ATA from scratch. Here is what it brings to the table:
🧠 Automated Matchmaking: Handles mathematically precise Swiss system pairings and complex tie-breaks (like Buchholz metrics) instantly in the cloud.
📱 Live Tracking: Players and spectators can follow the live bracket and standings from their own phones in real-time.
⚖️ Referee Delegation: Assign specific tables to referees so they can input scores directly via the app.
📊 Instant PDF Reports: Generate professional final standings and brackets with just one click.
🌍 Global & Native: Built natively for iOS and Android, currently supporting 17 languages.
I would absolutely love your brutally honest feedback on the UI/UX. What specific tournament formats or features should I add next?
I’ll be hanging out in the comments all day to answer your questions! Cheers! 🚀
Pairings actually generated in seconds during the first round, which saved me a ton of stress before the time control kicked in. The referee handoff feature is a nice touch, though I'd love to see bracket printing get a bit more polish.
Nice focus on mobile-first for organizers, that part feels genuinely useful. One thing that would level it up for me personally is letting players see their own pairings, standings, and live notifications from a separate app view. Right now it sounds like everything is gated behind organizer access. If a player just had a read-only public link or simple companion app tied to each tournament, it would cut down on a ton of last-minute questions and keep everyone locked in. Would love to see that added in a future update.
Honestly the swiss pairing just works without me double checking every round, which is kind of a miracle for tournament apps. Saved me a solid hour last weekend.
