It generates comics in an anime style. Compared to the simple cartoons found in other English learning apps, these comics are more vivid and expressive, making it easier to convey the meanings of words. Furthermore, each comic is accompanied by an AI-generated short story.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Jiarui Li, the developer and founder of ardlex. When I was learning English, I used to study from vocabulary books, but I’d always forget the words I’d memorized after a while—losing track of not just the spelling, but the definitions too. Standard vocabulary apps didn't really solve this either; they often paired words with simple images that didn't offer much real help. So, I built ardlex—a tool that uses AI to generate comics based on English vocabulary words. The "Word Plaza" currently features over 300 words, and the flashcards are completely free to use. I’d love for you to give it a try! I’ll be here all day to reply to comments and would really value your feedback.

Finally an English app that doesn't bore me to death with stick figures. The anime comics actually make me want to read the little story underneath, which is a first for any vocab app I've tried.

honestly the anime style comics are way more fun than the usual boring flashcards, kind of makes me actually want to study vocab.

Would love to see a spaced repetition flashcard mode built from the words used in each comic, so I can actually retain the new vocab instead of just enjoying the stories.

the anime-style comics actually make vocabulary stick better than those dry textbook illustrations i am used to, and the short story alongside each one is a nice touch for context

Love the anime-style comics, they actually make me want to read instead of skimming. One thing that would really help: add a tap-to-translate feature for each panel's dialogue, so I can quickly check a word without leaving the comic or breaking the flow of the story.

The anime-style art really stands out, especially how expressive the characters' faces are. It makes memorizing vocabulary feel way less like a chore.

Congrats on launching ardlex! This looks genuinely exciting — wishing the team a fantastic PH day! 🚀

The anime-style comics actually make vocabulary stick better than flashcard apps I've used, and the little stories give context I'd otherwise have to imagine myself. Wish there were more advanced levels though.
