I built affiliatetree after watching creators paste the same wall of links into every bio and comment section — and followers give up before they reach the one product that was actually
mentioned in the video.
The insight was small: creators already say the product out loud. So instead of routing links, hand out a short code — "it's A102" — and turn that into an instant lookup. Type the code on
their page, get the exact product with a live marketplace link. That's the whole thing.
Two principles I held to:
- Honest by design. We can see a click; we can never see a sale — the purchase happens inside Shopee/Lazada. So nothing here ever claims "conversions" or "revenue." Analytics count what's
real: views, clicks, unique visitors, and failed code searches.
- Free, and staying free. Your affiliate ID is yours, commission is paid to you directly, and we never sit between you and the payout.

Honestly, the concept is solid. One thing that would make it even better is if you could add a quick "copy shortcode" button right next to each product in the dashboard. That way I don't have to manually type the code every time I want to share it in a post or story.
Typed in a code on someone's page and it pulled up the exact couch I was eyeing in two seconds. The Shopee link was ready to go and I didn't have to dig through their bio, feels like a small thing but it actually saves time.
Would love to see a quick copy-to-clipboard option next to each product code, and maybe a tiny preview thumbnail of the product image so followers know what they're grabbing before they type it in. Would make the whole flow feel a lot smoother on mobile.
one thing that would seal the deal for me is a chrome extension that lets me highlight a product on any ecommerce site and generate the short code in one click right from the page im browsing.
