Zavik
Prep any repo to run. Audit it before it runs.
Zavik is an open-source dev CLI & AI-orchestration engine. One call detects your stack and briefs any AI coding agent — runbook, entrypoints, trust (zavik context --json). Another audits your dependency supply chain and gates PRs via a GitHub Action with SARIF output. Plain CLI: stable --json and exit codes are the interface — works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or no agent at all. Free forever (MIT core); the paid add-on is a daily signed risk dataset, never locked features.
I built Zavik to solve a problem I kept running into: AI coding agents waste time figuring out how a repo works every time they open one.
Zavik gives them that context in one command. It can also audit dependencies, diagnose errors, check your environment, and help run projects safely.
It's a simple CLI built in Rust. No AI API needed, works offline for core features, and works with Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Cursor, and other agents.
The CLI is free and MIT licensed. I'm planning a paid add-on for an updated supply-chain risk dataset.
It's launching today, and I'd love to hear what you think. Feedback and criticism are welcome!

Who hunted Zavik?
Zavik was hunted by Jonathan Dos Santos Rodrigues. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
