AI summaries with tap-to-jump timestamps, right in Telegram
Yourcast is a Telegram bot for podcasts: search a show, tap to subscribe, and new episodes arrive as audio right in your chat. 2.0 adds AI summaries with timestamps you can tap to jump in the audio, questions about any episode, feeds that repair themselves, files up to 2 GB, OPML import and payments in Telegram Stars. Free: 10 episodes a week on demand. Open source (GPL v3). In English, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish, German and Hebrew.
Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Konstantin, the maker of Yourcast.
I listen to podcasts on the go and live in Telegram, so I wanted new episodes to just arrive there.
It's for people who live in Telegram and don't want one more app just for podcasts.
Yourcast was #10 of the day here 4 years ago. After that it mostly ran on its own. In the last 7 weeks it changed more than in the 5 years before: 85 merged pull requests (~170 commits, against 55 in those 5 years), written mostly with LLM.
What's new in 2.0:
• AI summaries: the gist and key points with timestamps. Tap a time and the audio jumps there. Then ask anything about the episode.
• Tap a popular show to subscribe, and its latest episode arrives right away. Paste an Apple Podcasts link, or move from another app with an OPML file.
• Feeds that fix themselves: a broken or moved feed is rechecked daily and its new address found.
• Episodes up to 2 GB, downloads that resume where they stopped.
• Plans in Telegram Stars: free 10 episodes a week, Bronze $1 with automatic delivery, Relay $5 with 30 hours of summaries a month.
1. Is a summary enough to decide whether an episode is worth your hour?
2. What, if anything, stopped you in the first minute?
3. What would make you move from your current podcast app?
