I built WP AI Explainer because I kept watching friends and family bail out of articles the moment they hit a word they didn't know. Glossaries are dead links. ChatGPT in another tab breaks flow. I wanted something where you highlight a word and the explanation just appears like a Kindle dictionary, but for anything, anywhere on a WordPress site. A few things I'm proud of: • It works with any theme so no shortcodes, no rebuilds • You bring your own API key, so costs stay yours and predictable • Hard usage caps mean a viral post can't run up a £500 bill overnight • Free version is genuinely useful; pro adds Claude/Gemini, bulk scanning, and a glossary builder Would love feedback on the tooltip UX, the onboarding flow, or anything that feels off.
