WhisperLink is an iOS app built for real world noisy environments like cafés, bars, concerts, airports and crowded streets. Instead of trying to fight background noise, it lets two people hear each other directly through headphones with very low latency audio. It also includes a local Bluetooth/WiFi mode for nearby communication without internet, plus a simple nearby emergency mesh chat feature.
Built WhisperLink after getting tired of constantly saying “what?” in loud cafés, bars, airports, and crowded places.
The original idea was simple:
instead of trying to fight background noise, let people hear each other directly through headphones with really low delay.
What surprised me was how many people instantly related to the mental exhaustion side of noisy environments.
I also ended up building a local Bluetooth/WiFi mode for nearby communication without internet, plus a small nearby emergency mesh chat feature while experimenting with offline connectivity.
Still super early and honestly still learning what people actually want most from it, so I’d genuinely love feedback from anyone who tries it.
