I’m the creator of WalkFind, and I built this app because I’ve always loved exploring cities beyond the usual tourist traps—discovering hidden spots, secret stories, and new neighborhoods even in cities I thought I knew inside out. To make urban exploration more exciting, I designed WalkFind as a completely free-form walk with a gamified twist: • Audio Stories & History: Listen to engaging local audio guides the moment you unlock a spot. • Dynamic Navigation: The app continuously guides you with real-time distance and direction to the nearest hidden gem. • Points & Rewards: Collect points for every place you discover along your walk. I started with my hometown, Stockholm, and I’m thrilled to officially launch London today—featuring over 200 unique places to discover! As a fun bonus for London, I’ve also included a curated theme dedicated to historical pubs with fascinating backstories. Why I built this: I’ve spent a large part of my life traveling the world—both privately and as a touring musician (I played with Roxette back in the late 80s and early 90s). Spending so much time on the road made me realize that the best experiences in any city are the ones right around the corner that most people walk past. WalkFind is built for both curious travelers and locals who want to rediscover their own city. The core app and city spots are free to download and explore. WalkFind is currently available in English, Swedish, German, and Spanish, with more cities coming soon. I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, and suggestions on how to make WalkFind even better! What city should we map out next? 🎧📍
