visual-comparison
Lightweight visual regression testing for Python automation.
Lightweight Python library for visual regression testing. Compare two screenshots, get an SSIM similarity score, and generate diff images with rectangles highlighting every visual change. Three lines of code, no complex setup. Works with file paths or NumPy arrays, supports Python 3.9–3.13 and NumPy 2.x. Built by a QA engineer for CI pipelines, UI automation, and cross-browser screenshot comparison. pip install visual-comparison - that's it.
Hey PH fam! 👋 I built this out of frustration - I was manually eyeballing screenshot diffs in my UI automation pipeline and kept missing subtle regressions that slipped into production.
visual-comparison is dead simple: give it two screenshots, it returns a similarity score and draws red rectangles around everything that changed. Three lines of code, one pip install.
Built this as a QA engineer with 8+ years in test automation. Would love feedback from anyone running visual regression in CI - what's missing?
