VidShift
Free video and audio tools that run in your browser
VidShift is a free video and audio toolkit that runs 100% in your browser. Convert, compress, trim, mute, rotate, change speed, extract audio or frames, and create GIFs. No uploads, no sign-up, no watermarks, no ads. Your files never leave your device. Supports MP4, WebM, MKV, MOV, MP3, FLAC and 12+ formats. Built with WebAssembly for native-speed processing.
Every time I needed to convert or trim a video, I'd end up on some sketchy site that wanted me to upload my file, sit through ads, then slap a watermark on the result. Or download bloated desktop software for a 30-second job. It felt broken.
So I built VidShift. It does 9 things (convert, compress, trim, GIF, MP3 extract, mute, rotate, speed, frame extract) and it does them all in your browser using WebAssembly. Nothing uploads anywhere. No account. No watermarks. No ads.

Who hunted VidShift?
VidShift was hunted by Jason Gillyon. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
