Hi Product Hunt! While building VidiDown, I tested 48 free video downloaders the way a normal visitor would. 21 of 42 pages pushed an app, extension or APK, 9 of 25 download clicks showed a full-screen ad instead of the file, and 3 sites sent me to betting sign-up pages.
