Vettri
Know your good time.
Vettri works out Rahu Kalam, good windows, and the day’s panchangam from your birth star for the town you’re in. In Tamil or English.
Top comment
Hi everyone, I’m Janakan, the designer behind Vettri. Many Tamil families still check Rahu Kalam from a printed calendar or a WhatsApp forward, and the apps that exist give the same times to everyone, usually in English only, with no reasons. Vettri works out the panchangam for your town and your birth star, answers “Is now a good time?” with a yes, a wait, or a better time, and shows what each answer is based on. The whole app runs in Tamil or English. It’s coming soon to iPhone, and the waitlist is at vettri.life. What would you want a panchangam app to do that none of them do today?

Who hunted Vettri?
Vettri was hunted by Janakan Mahendrarajah. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
